The very founding principle of America is our passion for freedom. To have the ability to live our lives free of dictatorship of any kind, government or religious based. These are deeply rooted values that were once strongly influenced by the love as well as the fear of our almighty creator. No, not unified in one religion, but the vast majority were internally guided by the word of God. This is what drove a powerful work ethic, the strength of family and friendships, the love, trust, and respect for one another. A handshake was all that was needed to seal a deal.
So in less than one lifetime look at how much has changed! Oh our passion remains high and so does our zeal for freedom, but because of our great prosperity and an educational system that reduces God to one of man's silly superstitions of the past we are left with a playing field with no boundaries. Oh there might be one set up temporarily, but with each passing day they are disappearing at an alarming speed.
But to those who are called by God His word never changes. It doesn't grow out of date. It is just as applicable today as it was when it was handed down by God over 2,000 years ago.
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. -1 Corinthians 2:14
The devil loves to deceive and manipulate, he is an expert at it. God's word teaches us why he exists and why he is able to do these terrible things. The path of his destruction is beyond what anyone could comprehend and with each passing generation that falls further away from God the faster the toll rate climbs. Without God's clear vision we are blinded to the direct connection between sin and the level of destruction it is causing.
So now we are lining up, not by what so many are claiming to be racism or economic disparity, but rather those who see by the Spirit and those who see by the world's view. One calls for endless government controls and programs with no mention of the need for God in our lives while the other with a love for one another and His divine guidance, which comes from His true love for us and His desire for us to thrive in His creation until He calls us to come home to Him. A love and hope that cannot be taken from us, but also His clarity of the ramifications of our actions when we push the boundaries that He has established for us. We are all sinners and Jesus came so that we would come to know God intimately and through Him receive forgiveness for our failures and the strength to overcome them. If you are filled with His Spirit then God has called you to share that message with as many around you as you can.
At Acts 1:8 Ministry, we have been making sharing God's message easy for all believers to do because you do it through simple acts of kindness. You and your group go to busy places in your community and you perform acts of kindness. The Christian Kindness Card gives all the credit and glory to Jesus. The recipients feel His love and experience a taste of what His grace is like because the act of kindness cannot be earned or bought at any price. The card also invites them to your church, school, youth activity, etc. ... Care-Share-Connect! P.A.C.K. (Planned Acts of Christian Kindness) is the totally free program and you can download it at: www.acts18.org/christian-kindness-program. Together in Christ we can bring His love and hope back into our world.
