2 Timothy 4:2-4 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
Today society has totally gone off the deep end and has taken too many churches along with it. They have abandon God's word in an attempt to attract people and make them feel better about themselves. Coming to faith in Jesus Christ isn't a popularity contest. It actually puts our lives under a very powerful microscope, one that makes even our "little" sins look like giant boulders. This is how God sees them and they literally block our way to Him. On our own these boulders become invisible, but they are still there making our lives extremely difficult.
Thankfully God hasn't given up on us and His love for us remains beyond measure. He sent His Son Jesus to grab our attention and ultimately give us hope. God's word remains and continues to make our boulders visible to us. When we come to realize just how critically important it is to have Jesus in our lives clearing away our boulders of sin why would we continue to immediately replace what Jesus lovingly & painfully took away? Is this how we would show our love, thankfulness, and honor to the One through which salvation comes that leads to eternal life in heaven?
The true cost of our sins in real time is staggering. The brokenness, emptiness, and dysfunction created is bankrupting our society both morally as well as economically. The scars are past down through the generations and yet the most tragic part takes place in the afterlife where they will face eternal torment separated from God.
Jesus commanded us to tell the next generation for if we did not then all what He came to accomplish would be in vain. The time for action is long overdue, but with the Holy Spirit it is never too late. No matter what your community is like you can easily show everyone the love that Jesus has for them and offer up a church invite through simple free acts of kindness and your Connect Card. We call it P.A.C.K. (Planned Acts of Christian Kindness). The simple practical acts of kindness easily grabs the attention of passersby while out at some busy location in your community.
