Approximately 23,000 children die every year in Uganda from unsanitary drinking water.
To obtain safe drinking water, many children walk several miles every day before and after school. Often, children do not even attend school because they spend the day collecting water for their families.
Major sources of water for most people are bacteria-infected swamps. Using this water leads to deadly water-borne diseases, such as typhoid and cholera.
There is Hope
Thanks to the financial support of Acts 1:8 Ministry's partners and friends, the 104th water tower has been completed in Uganda as of July, 2014!
These water towers provide a safe, clean and convenient source of water for the villages in Uganda.
"In Africa, we say water is life."

You Can Help
Pray & Donate
The cost of building each water tower is $700, which covers:
- Water tower construction supplies and tools.
- Labor: local villagers are hired and compensated for building the water towers. This encourages self-sustainability and respect/pride of ownership.
Donations between $500-$5,000 are matched in full by
the generosity of
the Ruud Foundation.
