Few Burdens are Heavy When Everybody Lifts

By: Lee Larsen

For Christians, our strength comes from the Lord. When we truly place our complete trust in Him, He promises to always watch over us. He guides us around life's obstacles and when we fail, as we all do at times, He's there to carry us through it. We can find comfort and peace in this truth.

An important part of the support that God provides to us is "His body", the church, made up of the family of believers. God provides us with physical, emotional and spiritual support through church. As "the body" works together, insurmountable challenges are overcome and amazing things are accomplished in God's glory.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
— Hebrews 10:24-25
And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
— 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
— Romans 12:4-5
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
— Romans 8:28
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up.
— Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

One great way that you can grow and strengthen "the body" of Christ is through Planned Acts of Christian Kindness® (P.A.C.K.®) events. These outreach events bring fellow believers together to go out into their community and share God's love by giving away simple gifts or doing free acts of service. Through this method, you can give people a taste of what God's love and grace is like: freely given and cannot be bought or earned. P.A.C.K.® makes it easy for anyone to share the love of Christ. The relationships that you develop will begin to lift your burdens in both your personal life and your church body.
